ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study is to explore a tumbling and cry of the day issue pertaining to
women involvement in politics was carried out in district Dir Lower Khyber Pukhtunkhwa
Pakistan with reference to socio-cultural causative factors. The study concluded that, in the
postmodern world women hold a tremendous status and stand with men in every walk of
social and economic life for national integration, development and growth; however, in case
of developing countries the women exploitation and subjugation are still prevailed since the
dawn of societal fabrics where women advancement and liberation are just a dream. In
addition, women is either for home or for grave, male hegemonic societal fabrics, women role
is predetermined in terms of busy in domestic chores and neglecting from decision making in
social and economic affairs of life has drastically affect negatively the women political status
day by day in the study area. Thus, the government should ensure to makes such policies at
macro and micro level pertaining to women political participation along with to bring
harmony and functional society - an awareness through print and social media with regards to
political rights seminars are the order of the day, will further evoke to a symbol of healthy and
developed nation were put forwarded some of the recommendations in the light of present
study.
