EFFICACY OF BHUTSHUDDHIKRIYA (BREATHING TECHNIQUE) ON PULMONARY FUNCTION IN HEALTHY VOLUNTEER-A CASE REPORT Authors: Patil D , TOSHIKHANE S* AND KHADE A
ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the impact of Bhutshuddhikriya, an ancient breathing technique, on
pulmonary function in a healthy volunteer. The study was conducted at Khemdas Ayurved
Hospital, Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research, Parul University, under the supervision of
Dr. Dinesh Pulmonary function was assessed using forced vital capacity (FVC), forced
expiratory volume (FEV), FVC/FEV ratio, and peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) over a 30-
day period. Notable improvements in pulmonary metrics were observed, demonstrating the
potential efficacy of Bhutshuddhikriya for respiratory health enhancement.
