ABSTRACT
Covid 19 is a viral disease caused by the novel coronavirus, where it’s been first identified in
Wuhan, China. The coronavirus is a novel virus allied to the family of SARS (severe acute
respiratory syndrome) virus. The effect of novel coronavirus on the dental practice in terms of
safety and economy turns out to be very badly affected. In regard to orthodontic practice, the
problems can be broadly discussed under 3 different categories. The categories include new
cases, review cases, and retention phase cases. We need to live with the pandemic but by taking
all precautionary and safety measures to avoid getting infected and meanwhile continue leading a
normal life.
