ABSTRACT
The aim of present study was to synthesize a new series ofthiazolidine-4-one from schiff
bases of Indole-3-carboxaldehyde,reaction with different Anilines. The structure of
synthesized compounds was established by IR and 1H-NMR method. The antimicrobial
activity of the synthesized compounds was checked in which the compounds TZ1, TZ4 and
TZ6showed good activity against, gram positive bacteria Bacillus subtilis and compounds
TZ2, TZ3 and TZ5 showed good activity againstgram-negative bacteria Escherichia-coli, as
compared to standard drug, ampicillin.
