ABSTRACT

Garbha Poshana principles are focused on foetal nutrition and the child's reliance on his or her mother for appropriate growth and development. Many changes occur both within and outside the foetus while the Garbha (foetus) develops inside the Garbhaashaya (uterus). Garbha Poshana is caused by the development of structures such as the Garbha Nabhi Nadi (umbilical cord) and the Apara (placenta).
