ABSTRACT

Most of the microorganisms interact with metals. This property of microbes can be explored for metal extraction. The two important aspects, the economic and industrial are of keen interest. First includes leaching of the metals from their ores and second involves leaching from the industrial wastes. In the first case, the metal is extracted from large quantities of low grade ores and in second reaction; metals are recycled and concentrated together.
