ABSTRACT
Lamotrigine is an anti-epileptic drug belongs to phenyl triazine class. It is used in the
treatment of both epilepsy and as a mood stabilizer in bipolar disorder. In this article different
analytical methods such as spectrophotometry, chromatography methods like HPLC (high
performance liquid chromatography), liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry etc,
are used for the pharmaceutical evaluation of lamotrigine for anti-epileptic activity.
