SYNTHESIS OF DERIVATIVES OF CHLOROSUBSTITUTED FLAVONE Authors: Kalane S. G. , DHOTRE B. K., MORE B.P. AND RATHOD S.P.
ABSTRACT
As a part of study, we have synthesized chloro-substituted flavone derivative from flavanone
which is obtained by cyclization of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl) propane-1,3-
dione with various substituted aromatic benzaldehyde by using a catalytic amount of
piperidine under solvent of ethanol. The entire reported compound has 72–80 percentage of
isolated yield. All synthesized compounds were characterized by Mass 1H NMR and IR
Spectroscopy.
