ABSTRACT

Medical plants have recently attracted a lots of attention since their usage in ethno medicine to treat common diseases like colds and fevers, as well as other medicinal claims are now backed up by scientific evidence. The research on medicinal plants began with extraction processes, which are crucial to the extraction outcomes (such as yield and phytochemical content) as well as the subsequent tests. Nowadays, a large range of technologies with various extraction processes are accessible. As a result, the purpose of this review is to define and analyse the most often methods based on their concept, strength and limitations in order to aid in determining the applicability and economic feasibility of the methods.
