ABSTRACT

The last two decades have witnessed a rapid increase in the globalization of business. Developments in the fields of information technology, manufacturing technology, transportation, trade liberalization, emergence of new markets and increase in foreign direct investments have contributed significantly in this regard. The concept of a 'global village' has now become a reality. The Indian business Process Outsourcing industry is in the throes of evolutionary change as the US recession finally begins to take its toll. The industry is looking at various strategies and technologies to survive and thrive amid growing pressure of the US recession. The present study will be conducted with the objective to analyze the impact of economic slowdown on the employee’s performance of BPO sector in India. Therefore, In order to achieve this objective a self administered questionnaire will be designed to analyze the employee’s performance due to the impact of economic slowdown, level of job security and other related conditions.
