ABSTRACT
Current study was carried out to explore the pharmacological activities of B. napus. Plant
material was collected from Jafferabad district of Balochistan. Ethanolic extract was tested for
analgesic and neurpharmacological activities. Ethanolic extract showed significant analgesic
activity in both formalin and acetic acid testat250 and 500 mg/kg. In neurpharmacological
activities ethanolic extract showed significant depressant effect in forced swimming, open field,
cage crossing, rearing and traction tests. Results showed that the plant extract can be utilized as
alternative treatment for analgesic and depressive disorder.
